Packed to Survive the Journey: How NoorArch Garden Lights Travel from Our Workshop to Your Warehouse
How NoorArch packs outdoor garden lighting for export: foam-inserted cartons, foil-wrapped bollards and sealed accessory bags - real photos from our workshop.
Outdoor garden lighting travels far. From our workshops in Zhongshan to warehouses in Rotterdam, Vienna, Sydney or Los Angeles, a bollard light changes hands a dozen times before it reaches its final path. When packaging is an afterthought, the result is familiar to every importer: scratched anodised finishes, chipped powder coat, cracked glass - and a season of claims instead of sales.
Packaging is part of the product. That is how we treat it, and this article shows you the real details - photographed in our workshops, not staged in a studio.
Foam that fits the product
Generic bubble wrap is where most transit damage begins. A shade that can move inside a carton will eventually find the carton wall.
For our cast and spun luminaires we pack each unit into cut foam that matches its shape. A brass bell path light sits in a moulded foam block, curved stem locked in place, so the head cannot rotate or press against the box during handling:

Straight-stemmed copper path lights travel the same way: stems and their brass accessories are separated into foam compartments, so metal parts never rub against each other in transit:

Glass needs its own rules. Ribbed and clear glass heads are held in dedicated foam trays that keep the diffuser off any surface:

Cartons that carry the shelf - and the container
Export cartons are double-duty: they protect in the container and present on the shelf. Wall light sets ship in long cartons with every component bagged and sealed - fixings, gaskets and instruction sheets stay with the product instead of disappearing between workstations:

For retail programmes we also pack into branded boxes, so cartons can move from our warehouse to your shelf without repacking:

Tall posts need tall protection
A bollard post is long, light and easily bent or scratched - the two failure modes of tall cargo. Long posts are foil-wrapped edge to edge, so the finish arrives exactly as it left the line:

Lit, checked, then packed
Before any unit goes into its carton, it is lit and inspected one final time. The fixture you see when you open the box is the fixture we saw leaving the bench:

What this means for your projects
Fewer damaged units. Fewer claims to manage. Faster shelf-ready handling for retail programmes. Packaging is one of the quiet reasons our clients renew their garden lighting programmes with us year after year.
FAQ
Why is packaging part of the product, not an afterthought? Because transit damage is designed in at the packing stage and discovered at your warehouse. Foam cut to the product's shape, separate compartments for metal parts, and sealed accessory bags decide whether the finish arrives as it left the line — or becomes a season of claims.
Can cartons go straight to retail shelves? For retail programmes, yes: the same cartons can be produced as branded boxes, so the goods move from our warehouse to your shelf without a repacking step. For standard export, plain double-wall cartons with foam inserts do the job.
Do you photograph the packing before shipping? Yes — packing and loading are photographed as standard. What arrives is what sells, and the photos are your evidence of how it travelled.
